Soy Diseñador Gráfico licenciado en Diseño especializado en Infografía y Diseño de Información. Desde hace 13 años trabajo en el diario El Mercurio de Chile. Desarrollo gráficos informativos de preparación diaria, breaking news y de gran formato. Como apasionado de la infografía, soy profesor universitario de Diseño de Información y Taller de Infografía en distintas universidades. Diplomado en Docencia Universitaria. También he participado como expositor en charlas de diseño en distintas universidades.
I am a Graphic Designer specialized in Infographics, Visual Thinking and Data Visualization.
I joined the El Mercurio newspaper about 13 years ago. There I develop information graphics for different areas, with a special emphasis in breaking news and special reports.
My passion for infographic design also led me to seek a career in Academy. I teach Information Design at UC and del Pacífico universities. I’ve been a keynote speaker in several other institutions and conferences, trying, little by little, to share my passion, and hopefully influence others to deeper in their studies.
Overall, I love the challenge of making complex issues more interesting and understandable, and even memorable, through the work of visual journalism. I’m deeply interested in building a proper channel between information and the reader.
